Reshape Technologies Inc. (“Reshape,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Reshape mobile applications and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the Services.

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Information We Collect

We collect information in these categories:

A. Information you provide

  • Account and profile information: name, email, phone number (if provided), age or date of birth (or age range), sex/gender (if provided), height, weight, goals, preferences.
  • Health and fitness information you log: meals, nutrition details, water intake, workouts, exercise history, progress entries, notes, and similar fitness-related data.
  • Media and content: meal photos, profile photos, progress photos, workout videos, and other content you upload.
  • Support communications: messages you send to us, including attachments.

B. Information from your device and use of the Services

  • Device/app info: device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, and identifiers associated with your device (including mobile advertising identifiers where available).
  • Network info: IP address and related network information.
  • Usage and diagnostics: feature usage and interaction data, performance data, and crash logs.

C. Information from integrations you connect

If you connect Apple Health, Google Fit, Health Connect, or similar services, we collect the health and fitness data you authorize (for example, steps and sleep). You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.

D. Location information (optional)

If you allow it, we may collect precise location. If you do not allow it, we do not collect precise location. You can change location permissions in your device settings.

2) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Services (account creation, meal logging, workout tracking, personalization, and core functionality).
  • Personalize insights and recommendations based on your logged data and preferences.
  • Improve the Services (analytics, testing, troubleshooting, and product improvements).
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests.
  • Send service-related communications (important notices, security updates, account messages).
  • Where permitted, send marketing messages, which you can opt out of via unsubscribe mechanisms.
  • Maintain safety and security, prevent fraud/abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect rights and safety.

3) AI Features (Fio) and AI Processing

Some features use AI to generate responses, summaries, insights, or recommendations.

What information may be processed

Depending on what you choose to use, AI features may process:

  • your prompts and messages,
  • relevant app context (e.g., goals and recent logs), and/or
  • user content such as meal images when you use image-based features.

AI providers; no training

We use third-party AI processors (including Azure OpenAI Service). We may also use other comparable AI providers to support reliability, quality, or availability. We instruct AI providers not to use your data to train their models.

Azure OpenAI retention (“keep” means)

Azure OpenAI Service may retain prompts and generated content for up to 30 days for abuse detection and mitigation, after which it is deleted in accordance with the provider’s policies.

4) Advertising, Attribution, and Analytics

We use analytics, attribution, and advertising technologies to understand usage, improve the Services, and measure campaign performance.

This may involve collecting or sharing information such as:

  • device identifiers and mobile advertising identifiers,
  • IP address,
  • app event data (e.g., install, open, subscription start, purchase),
  • and related measurement signals.

Customer list / Custom Audiences (email/phone)

We may use email and/or phone number for customer list audiences (often called “custom audiences”) to measure and improve advertising performance.

We do not upload email or phone number for customer list audience matching for users under 18.

Where supported, identifiers may be hashed before transfer and matched by the advertising platform to its users.

Your controls

You can control ad personalization and tracking permissions through:

  • iOS: App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and Apple advertising settings
  • Android: Google/Android advertising settings

At this time, we may not offer a separate in-app opt-out for all advertising measurement beyond device/platform controls.

5) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. We share information in these situations:

A. Service providers (processors)

We share information with vendors that help operate the Services, such as:

  • Cloud hosting and storage (e.g., Azure and related infrastructure),
  • Analytics (e.g., Firebase/Google Analytics, Mixpanel),
  • Attribution/measurement (e.g., AppsFlyer),
  • Subscriptions/billing support (e.g., RevenueCat; purchases are processed by Apple/Google where applicable),
  • Messaging/engagement (e.g., Customer.io),
  • Advertising partners (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Google) for measurement and, where applicable, customer list audiences, and
  • AI processing (e.g., Azure OpenAI Service and other comparable AI providers).

We require service providers to protect information and to use it only to provide services to us.

Internal access (support and operations)

Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, authorized members of the Reshape core team (including support and operations personnel) may access your information on a limited, need-to-know basis for purposes such as monitoring service performance, providing customer support, troubleshooting, account management, and enforcing our Terms and policies. Access is restricted through role-based controls and is logged where appropriate.

B. Legal, safety, and enforcement

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect safety and security, prevent fraud/abuse, or enforce our Terms.

C. Business transfers

If we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

D. Aggregated or de-identified information

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

6) Health Data and Health Connect

Health and fitness data is sensitive. We access data from Health Connect or other integrations only with your permission and use it to provide and improve user-facing features in the Services, consistent with applicable platform requirements.

7) International Data Transfers

We operate globally. Your information may be stored and processed in regions where we or our service providers operate, including Europe, the United States, and Canada. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8) Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes, such as security, fraud prevention, compliance with legal obligations, and dispute resolution.

  • Account deletion: When you delete your account, deletion is initiated immediately and is generally completed within 24 hours or less for our active systems.
  • Backups: Data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period as part of routine backup retention and disaster recovery processes, and is removed according to those backup cycles.
  • De-identified/obfuscated analytics: We may retain de-identified or obfuscated analytics data to understand performance and improve the Services.

9) Account Deletion and Your Choices

You can delete your account in the app or by following the steps at: https://www.reshapeapp.ai/deletion.

10) Security

We use safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11) Age Requirements

The Services are intended for users aged 16 and older. If you believe someone under 16 has provided personal information, contact support@reshapeapp.ai and we will take appropriate action.

12) Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise rights, contact support@reshapeapp.ai. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice.
